Empowering the Youth: "No 2 Violence" Board Game
ACT Africa has recently launched an innovative educational board game called the "No 2 Violence" (N2V) board game, designed to combat gender-based violence (GBV) in schools across South Africa. The initiative is a groundbreaking approach to engage children aged 10 to 18, using interactive and educational gameplay to teach them about the dangers of GBV and human trafficking.
The N2V board game is part of a broader effort to reach approximately 13 million students across 25,000 schools. The game includes various components like trivia cards, scenarios, and role-playing exercises, all aimed at fostering awareness and promoting discussions around GBV in a safe and structured environment.
Through this initiative, ACT Africa hopes to instill values of respect, equality, and safety in the minds of young people, ultimately reducing the incidence of GBV in the future. By integrating such educational tools into the school curriculum, the program aims to create lasting change and empower the next generation to stand against violence.
